They work, if that's what you're asking. Although isochronic tones are supposed to be more effective and don't require headphones.

You can use alpha or theta beats to quickly get you in those brainwaves.  Just ignore them and continue meditating as usual. Must use headphones for binaural.   Theta beats may put you on the edge of sleep so you have to train yourself to stay awake. But this is the magic area where visions and insights will come to you, or even step into a lucid dream and do some harcore meditation /spiritual work

@seeking_brilliance I didn't know i can just let it be in the background, so it doesn't change the quality of its effects too much?

In my experience they dont work, generating the beat yourself via some kind of drumming is a much more effective state changer.

merely listening activates afferent neurons, doing the action activates both afferent and efferent neurons.

@SoonHei placebo? ?

@Pouya of course. as with anything else in life.

but it works better when one isn't aware that they are under placebo... that would not be authentic and be present instead as a block

either way. your faith/belief is the other end of the stick. realize that you're the creator of your experience and have binuralbeats or even a beat you can drum urself on the table do the trick for you :)

You aren't supposed to 'listen' to them. Just ignore them.  they will work in the background. Like I said though, isochronic tones are more effective and work the same as shamanic drumming except you get to pick which hertz (brainwave) the 'drumming' will put you in

When I first started my spiritual journey I used HoloSync . It for sure works.

Legit but you need to have the right expectations.

They will not make you enlightened.

They are nowhere as powerful as psychedelics or a hardcore meditative or yogic practice.

I consider them good training wheels for newbies.

@Leo Gura Can I ask what happened to this week’s video?

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie
