God is suffering. If it unconditionally loves itself it'll express that aspect of it. 

But also this plays right into the hands of the will of God. It's all been carefully crafted and accounted for.

If there could be no pain or suffering at all, life also wouldn't be very deep, but you must not get this stuck in this notion that 'life is suffering', in love or silence you can really transcend it in perfect happiness.
