Personal Development For Teenagers

4 posts in this topic

Hi people

My name is Michael and I'm 16 years old. Because I recently discovered actualized.org I am beginning my self-actualization journey right now.

I've just watched Leo's high-school student video and it really got me thinking on how I could  live my life to the fullest potential. Leo mentioned that studying is a very important aspect of it. Do you know any books I could read to begin with this journey and to get an overview over the personal development field? That would be very helpful. And do you have any additional tips or habits I should establish? I just started a meditation habit, which should be very useful, but can I do anything more?

Thanks

Michael

Hi Michael, quite a question mate...

My advice to you at your age would be to learn hatha yoga. It is very easy to learn this when you are young and gives you a really strong body. The benefits will be amazing for future actualizing stuff. For the body nothing compares with it.

Your meditation habit will give you very soon the benefit of a strong concentration. This is important for you to learn and read as much as possible. Take first books and topics you are naturally interested in, the rest will simply follow.

Try to find some company to do sports with or meditation or study, whatever. It is important to find some friends who share some of your interests. 9_9

I would suggest to learn speed reading, there are many books about that around, pratice enlightment work and get the Leo's Life purpuse course. I think it may have a massive impact in your life starting at your age!
