Ego types

13 posts in this topic

My ego type is the "Labeled Ego", what's yours?

mind you this is simply a tool, not something to get attached to but to recognize how and why we think and feel the way we do, created through self reflection and therapy with others

honestly I would like to see a thread dedicated to this sort of Instagram page for shadow work :x

@DrewNows

I have the worst properties of all types.

What should we call that? The trash ego? ?

Seriously, I show different personalities at different times. I'm not sure we can categorise personality that easily. It seems like Cosmo. But it's helpful to make one more aware.

Ego labeling ego, LOL.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

I took a look at that Instagram and saw a few untrue things, and assumptions laid out as facts. Be careful! ?

Have you read "The Steppenwolf"? It's our desire to label and sort stuff that makes such definitions. Then of course to attach to one. If it was only that simple! You could pick out infinite different types. Or none. But at the end... It should be just a tool to realize yourself. After that loose it.

Have not.

You are totally right in saying the labeling of ego types can be used as a tool to understand our behaviors and what we focused on and doesnt necessarily have to be attached to the idea "i am this", more like I exhibited these qualities the most while growing up

Yup definitely the “realist” ego...?

it’s not about categorizing personality types, it’s about letting go of the identity as having a specific personality type

That's very simplistic and naive ?

I wouldn't take these types seriously, like I said, they seem like Cosmo. And again like I said, it can be useful to bring stuff into awareness whatever they might be.

The only thing that takes ego seriously is ego ???

The ego isn't bad. Trying to suppress it won't ever work.

Instead, just become aware of it.

OKay im done playing Joker with you dude.

This is simply a tool created through many years of therapy and self reflection to help us become aware of the ego.

If you don't like it, toss it
