Body fell asleep during meditation

5 posts in this topic

The body fell asleep during meditation. It's like it got heavily sedated but I was still fully awake despite being unable to move or open my eyes. It made me realise conciousness is really not occurring as part of the human mind because when mind was put to total rest, awareness was still present.

What we call mind is part of body.

Conciousness is a different phenoma.

Yup had these experiences several times. A sort of ''wakeful' dreamless sleep.

But my guess is these are yoga nidras(yogic sleep) and we should be vigilant not to fall on them too often. Because they could last from months to years to eternity, who knows.

And yet of course, there is not a single second of time in that 'experience'.

@Preetom That sleep changed my life. I think it may have something to do with quiting all caffeine products. The body was going through some kind of reset and now I have a sense of restfulness whilst awake.
