Breath meditation

Hi all :)

I am battling with breath meditation cause of a  problem with my nose. I broke my nose when i was very young and it grown on wrong and because of that i am breathing only through my left nostril. My normal breath is breathing through my left nostril into my chest and obviously not right. Could explain why i am a left brain person, so i think and could be a contributor to my anxiety.

How should i breathe in breath meditation?

1. Breathe natural like i am breathing in through left nostril and into my chest?

2. Breathe natural like i am breathing in through my mouth into my chest?

3. Control my breath by breathing through my left nostril into my stomach?

4. Control my breath by breathing through my mouth into my stomach?

Also how should i breathe in daily life: 1, 2, 3, 4?

Breathe as the artial marts masters.

Inhale teeth together, open mouth and the gums will absorb oxygen.

Exhale opening the mouth.

 

Saaaaaaaaaaa on inhale

Hammmmmm on exhale

 

I usually do this when i pedal on rickshaw, bruce lee style, using this technique to have double of oxygen.

When you need extra oxygen in a sprint, inhale btw teeth fast like a aspirator and exhale through open mouth as slowly as possible and repeat.

Don't forget to belly in and down on exhale, rest the shoulders down.

Then i don't know what to do or how to do breath meditation so i am going to take that as a sign to do another meditation.

@Joker_Theory The way I do it is to breathe naturally and observe the breath at the point of entry of the nostril. It shouldn't matter whether it's the left or right nostril, or both. Don't control the breath, just concentrate on that point in the nostril. The breath will slow down by itself, making it harder and harder to focus on the point of entry. That's the point, keep going back to that point and you will be building your concentration. The goal is to stay as long as possible focused on that point.
