What was that? Kundalini? Panic Attack?

19 posts in this topic

I woke up at 2 in the morning after going to sleep, with weird sensations:

It felt like some sort of really violent ”mental” waves of energy (thats only way I can describe it) was going up and down in a loop from my chest into my face every 5 seconds.

The waves were very quick and violent lasting for about 0.5 secs. I tried to control them but it was impossible, if I went in to the sensations I felt like I was getting more anxious about it, I tried to do some mindful breathing but that only helped a little bit. It became more intense if I closed my eyes but it still happened when I had my eyes open.

The timing was like: Waves of 0.5 in length lasting for about 5 mins occuring every 15 minutes...

After about an hour of this I felt like my body was buzzing with energy, not a stressful energy but a really loaded energy like I was a battery or something.

What was this????? Ive been meditating quite on and off for 1.5 years.

Kundalini usually is misinterpreted by all sort of things...

Kundalini is real but at the same time is just a metaphor, is not like if you feeling anything in your spine or belly is actually "kundalini"...

However I don´t want to say to you what your "experience" was because I obviously don´t know. But with this kind of things one says "what was that" is better to just leave it there. I had strange experiences too but since they haven´t solved or clear any confusion really I just don´t give them much importance.

Depends. Kundalini is always on, being aware of it or not.

When we are not aware of Kundalini we call this dormant state, because it goes directly into the head and we have the Ego.

When Kundalini is poured into the heartspace and one still operates from a point of view of the Ego, then it will appear as uncontrolled movements or feelings.

Kundalini in other words is very simple, everyone activates it in the heartspace without knowing it.

Laughing, and laughing from the heart, that belly innocent laugh. That is Kundalini rising.

I was saying many times here, learn from the laugh, learn, notice the way you breathe while you laugh, then transpolate that into your meditation practices.

This is how ancient yoga was discovered.

Do you think that the mantra "AUM" was discovered in some cave after some mystical experience? No!,  notice the sound you make when you yawn.

Kundalini can be extremely intense. Search for negative or positive Kundalini on Google or Youtube and you can find alot of experiences.

@Rilles Was struggling to understand you, but then I saw the illustration.

Waves of energy going up and down from my chest to my head. Out of my control.

@Rilles It’s the first real one. ?? Let the thoughts go. Claim it, or continue down the hole. The sensation is the message, the invitation. And now I’m jelly.

What is the purpose of flowers?

I guess the reason I posted here is so I can know how to deal with it, to calm my ego a bit. Weird and violent message or maybe Im just not used to strong energetic sensations. Anyway, it was a cool experience. Moving on.

Whatever purpose YOU give them. ;)

@Rilles

Words designed to keep you coming to man; anxiety, sadness, depression, anger, depression, mental, abnormal, etc.

Words designed to satisfy the thinking of now, so you return to the sensations within; chakra, kundalini, aura, awakening, enlightenment, etc.

Sounds crazy, but, no. You put them ‘here’, no-here via the inexplicable sensations, can you recognize yourself in a flower? Can you hear yourself in sensation? Stop and smell their message. Stop living and listen to the wisdom of an ant. Listen closely indeed, these things are your beauty.

I want to know more about this. Do you have a source/books where you got all of this?

Last week doing some Pranayama I had a very meaningful moment where I opened my chest as wide as I could and I inhaled as profound as I could. I felt like I had to do that, that I was constrained. From that moment my body has been doing chest breathing a lot of time during the day and my awareness has been there. Also since that moment i have been having an urge to really breath in the chest and imagining opening my lungs to the air of the outside with little love emoticons absorving the air (LMAO I know but its true). I don´t want to sound corny but could that be the "heart chakra".

What do you think all means? Or I am just bullshitting myself lol? (Chest breathing still I know is good for me because I felt constrained so its going to be good for my confidence/control, so that is actually real) BUt i mean the chakra stuff

I have not read this stuff, this is my original experience. Anyone knows this, just listen to your breath, insights will flood the mind.
