How To Delete Extremely Embarrassing Youtube Videos?

Hello everyone,

Some time ago I realized that I still have a youtube account from years ago, when I was in my early teens. It contains some extremely embarassing (cringy) old videos of mine that I need to have deleted asap. If anyone sees these that would be very disastrous.

The problem, however, is that because the account is so old, I have no idea whatsoever what the password is or the emailadress. This means I cannot acces the account and delete the videos mentioned. Has anyone faced a similar situation? What actions can I take to get out of this situation?

@DrMatthewsausage I think the best place to look is on the YouTube help pages for this, it's pretty irrelevant for this forum don't ya think? 

You may have set up an alternate email for when you forget your email 

I'd recommend you report all the videos multiple times though or pretend they have some kind of copyright infringement and YouTube might just take them down in response, read about how to get a channel taken down and what's against the rules and frame your channel for it

I believe that if a channel have 3 copy right warnings at the same time the channel is deleted or suspended instantly or something weird like that.

But the best alternative would be to ask on youtube forums or if you still have your old mail address you should be able to tell youtube that you've forgotten the password and have it sent to you.

@Saarah @Keyblade Viking Thank you fo replying! I filed a privacy complaint and youtube has just informed me that they will delete the videos.

@Neill If you could really hack that, that would be cool but it won't be necessary anymore. Thanks for offering your help.

May I ask how you went about reporting like what did you say in the report I'm trying to do the same.

First step is to call up google to try to recover the account that uploaded the video. If you can access that account you can delete the video, and there are ways to recover accounts even without knowing the address/username or password.

Failing that, just be honest with them and tell them your situation, and ask what information they'll need to provide for them to delete the video.
