Meditation Questions

I just started meditating a few months ago and after watching Leos video on the no bullshit guide to meditation i expected to go through a variety of emotions while meditating. This has not occurred and i feel pretty relaxed the whole time Is this a good sign or am i suppressing something?

Also when i meditate i have trouble being the atmosphere and letting the thoughts pass through. I become unconscious during a thought but then i realize it and go back to focusing on my breath. is this building my mindfulness muscle?
