Female topics

73 posts in this topic

Al, so there was a large thread over the past weeks about this being a male dominated place.  The only way to even out the balance it is to post topics of more of a female nature.  This is open to the men as well women, of course, so let's get thinking.

I'll start, im interested in

  • balancing spirituality with sexuality and can we meditate with a full face of makeup on
  • female masturbatin and other spiritual activities

please contribute

@Flatworld Crusades What is going on that makes you want to be active in adding more females to the forum?

And if you want to do this, it might be helpful to draw distinctions. People still ask about masculine and feminine energies here so it can be confusing when you try to conceptualize it. So what makes something of a female nature?

Fair comment. I'm looking for topics that females are interested in rather than female topics per say.  My post is a response to the recent proliferation of comments that this forum is very male dominated with little interest for women. As they  things won't change unless change happens.

I'm very interested in how we identify as male or female then turn it into something very polarizing. Clinging to the identities. Which makes any sort of leaning problematic.

Correct me if I am wrong but from what I have read, the women that are here are just very hesitant to post. Men can be very outward and assertive. Women really don't like to reciprocate the more competitive nature of men. The rest is up to Leo's more masculine teaching style.

Do you think men will generally stay out of more feminine esque topics?

I don't mean to derail! I just saw this as some relevant context/discussion to the topic at hand. I'd like a better understanding of this dynamic.

I have no issue of jumping In when a topic is of interest.

Do you think men will generally stay out of more feminine esque topics? Men are welcome in all discussions

In bold. Thanks

@Flatworld Crusades appreciate your replies! Perhaps discussions about teachers who have more feminine approaches would help. There were a few listed on the other thread I believe.

I already see spirituality in of itself a very feminine thing so this is a question I'd have to think hard on. The dating section could probably include more discussions of the female side of things on top of female sexuality.

My pleasure. I'll put some effort into a post in the dating section. I'll dig around for teachers with a more feminine approach too.

so you see spirituality as being feminine? That surprises me

Sure. To over simplify things I see masculine as external and feminine as internal. Spirituality being more about going inward into the self seems feminine. Of course it can become a tool of the masculine for competition sake.

Ok, I see. Is this going inward to do with the need to be highly aware of the environment, so a more sensitive approach is required? How does that become a masculine competitive tool?

Not sure what you mean by the first question. Are you referring to the origins on how one might start going more inward?

You know those "I'm the most enlightened and knowledgeable" "no I am" kind of discussions desperate to prove they are right? Like that ?

Of course none of these are rules. A woman can be more masculine and a man more feminine etc. There is a wonderful post about this duality by Smika if you'd like to read:

You've answered the first question. They were kinda connected anyways.  I do see what you mean by spirituality becoming the tool of the masculine in the way you put the "enlightenment" face offs.  I really dislike this kind of Lord of the jungle interactions. Energy is both male and female and can flow in many ways.

Thanks for the link. It was well communicated.

@Flatworld Crusades I love how your questions about female masturbation and balancing spirituality with sexuality has been met by a wall of silence!! That's because it IS a very able dominated forum let's face it. I don't hesitate to post, there's just sometimes too much male energy, male conflict and I sometimes to leave it to the boys to fight out ;)

Lack of response of the listed items isn't a concern, I'm putting some feminine ideas up to see what happens. I'm not a moderator or of any particular relationship to the forum. Just thought I'd see if it rolled.

I think it would be interesting to discuss motherhood and the role of feminine energy in society.

Great topics. You can just start up here, or post a new thread.

I'd like to discuss the role of feminine energy in society. I've met some incredibly talented female individuals through my work and life generally. In politics I think females still get a hard time and trusting women in power seems to be behind the times a bit.

I think the main issue I come accross in feminine energy is lack of self esteem, confidence and women asking for what they want. Are men better at this? If so, why? In terms of self improvement on this forum male energy  seems to consist of having a more competitive edge and wanting to out-do each other in terms of who is the most enlightened.
