GOD = REALITY

@zeroISinfinity indeed that is the highest realization

To discover that you are God and that you created this whole thing.  And that you are this whole thing.   There is nothing outside of you.   You had to create the form as well.  The form is part of formless and is a necessary part of God.  All is One as the form comes full circle to realize formlessness - which it always was.

Wisdom.  Truth.  Love.

But wait. Isn't God alone? Who is he talking to?

@Truth Addict  this is my take on all this stuff from the Bible. I don't take the bible literally but I really think that there's true insights in some of the teachings from the Bible. Other things are influenced from the belief of the people in that time and their culture, that's why some parts are really crazy and some others are really so loving.

Let's say that you have an insight into the nature of reality. Those insights come often not in form of words, more often than not they come like a punch in the face hehehe... like something complete in a instant, an idea but you have to "translate" then what you understood from that insight into words.

That's at least in my experience. True insights never came to me in words, it was always like a flash that gives me an "aha moment" complete. Not in a sequence but altogether at the same time.

So, what happens? The idea came to the mind of those people living in ancient times. And let's suppose that the insight told them not to do an image in the sense of trying to imagine GOD because the image is never the real thing.

But if they are not ready still to learn that kind of more advanced understanding, they will say

"GOD talked to me and he told me that we can not do images of him" So they don't do any material image, because they are still in the materialist paradigm.

That's is what I mean for radical openmindedness, to be able to see inside of teachings that are ancient the actual true insight.

Not if God talked to them, or if Jonah was in reality in the inside of a whale during 3 days, but more what the story means. Alan Watts talk about this in some of his lectures, and he's very good explaining that.

It means to see what the story is trying to make us understand, not so much about the facts or how they were described, if they were real or not, or if they happened literally as it is said, etc.... But being more open to understand that there's some really good insights in those stories, leaving the literal interpretation to one side.

Normally, the literal interpretation is the lower kind of spiritual level, is the first thing we see. But then we began to find deeper meanings to that interpretation.

We need more radical openmindedness.

Careful here. We have to understand where people like Soul-Lover 2020 come from.

There are people who have had genuine enlightenment experiences through the teachings of a certain religion, which can be very transforming. I know a guy in person who is a very nice person. He's even an inspiration to me at work. He's a good leader, a good professional and, as far as I can see, he's also a good parent and a good husband. I've asked him about his past and he confirmed that it was extremely destructive, involving robberies, violence, drugs, undisciplined sex thirst etc.

When talking about spirituality/religion though, he speaks just like Soul-Lover 2020. He's had some transforming experience in the past and he's built his life/principles/beliefs upon such teachings. If he listens to something that contradicts his structure of beliefs, it triggers a flight/fight response on him. So it's very important to respect that.

The existential struggle involved on a genuine spiritual seeking process is not something that the average person wants to handle. And most importantly, it cannot be forced. It can only come from within, like an unshakable hunger. When it's time for someone to start confronting his own beliefs, it will happen like the flow of a river (not necessarily calm!).

Be sincere, tell what you think, but don't try to convince anyone. Don't engage in such discussions for too long and don't get emotionally involved in the process. If it happens, it means that you're too attached to your own beliefs, not very different from religious fundamentalists.

This is very important!

Thanks @ajasatya for that post, very well written!
