Enlightenment experience?

3 posts in this topic

Last night I believe I had an enlightenment experience.  I have watched Leo's videos on Duality and Spiral Dynamics and while I understood them at the time I believe that I EXPERIENCED them last night.  I let go of forcing things and just listened.  It was like I was talking to myself but who I was listening to wasn't quite me...

I could sense different "dimensions" and let my body spiral though them. These "dimensions" were maybe different dualities...and were things like nature, humans, machines, life, death, my chakras.  I thought at first that there were 8...but I think there might actually be an infinite number. And you become more and more enlightened with the more dimensions you experience.

I saw light and dark...and let go of my fear of darkness and realized that there is nothing to fear at all...

I believe Jesus was completely enlightened and tried to convince others of enlightenment through God.  And that the symbol of the cross was slightly misinterpreted and really it was him standing at the center of these "dimensions".

I felt as though time is relative and is not constant...and that it doesn't matter...because I will not "die".

Most people would think I'm on the verge of crazy...but I know some of you here will understand.

That's a powerful experience, are you doing a particular practice or just letting go and listening? I guess that's a meditation in itself. I do find there's a spontaneity to spiritual experiences, it's way beyond ego control. Thanks for sharing yours.

Nick.

Everything is connected, but connections are only necessary from a fragmented point of view. What's the connection between two waves? The whole deep ocean which they are made of in the first place!

Yes, I do think that what I did was a good way for me to let go of my ego.  I have recently been working more on meditation and contemplation which I think was a big factor in my experience.

I isolated myself in a very clean, dark room for about 4 hours with the intention of doing yoga.  I smoked a small amount of weed and just let it happen.  I am not sure how to describe it but it was like I was going in and out of conscious and meditative states, becoming more and more frequent as time went on.  I definitely felt as though in a spiral.  There were times of high energy with a lot of movement but then times where I was completely still.  It eventually got to the point where I felt like time was irrelevant, I could sense different dimensions, that I won't ever die and that I was God (or at least understood more the meaning of Jesus and religion....but I've been an atheist my whole life so that was very weird) .

It was an amazing experience and I want more.  Can't wait to try to get there again!
