What is meant by infinity?

I am a bit confused about what infinity really means. Wonder what is an illusion and what is not.

What is meant by infinity?

Is it the size like of the universe but the space and or the entire universe + space + every dimension...inside both??

Or is everything in one place  but at different frequencies???

Heard that the material world is an illusion so is why i ask.

Any meaning is within infinity, so it’s not something one figures out. Direct experience is more impactful.

In terms of imagination, it might help to image it as “Everything”. Show me a thing outside of Everything. You can’t.

@Leo Gura I have spend a lot of time contemplating it and thinking about it to trigger some kind of experience and all that happened is more realizations which could be right or not. My mind is very open and it has helped my get some small mystic experiences but nothing big.

Your right but i am not the type of person that should take psychedelics cause i have rather big and allot of fears and don't handle them very well. I am one of those people that would hold on the the very end when i go through my fears. I know it's wrong but just can't help it and i am working on letting go so think i am not ready for  psychedelics but it is in my plans in the future when i am ready. I want to work on myself till i can take 5-meo-dmt one day.

I do meditate and starting self-inquiry so i am on my way to letting go

Its like when you ask yourself. Does the universe end in the next room? NO it doesnt.

Does it end outside my house? NO it doesnt.

Does it end at the end of my street? NO it doesnt.

Does it end after the plastic on my keyboard? NO it doesnt.

Does it end when I zoom in, all the way to the atoms and beyond, on my keyboard? NO its doesnt.

Does it end under your bed? NO it doesnt.

No matter how far you go. It never ends. Because it doesnt have an "end". 

 

"End" is a human concept that doesnt exist in the real world.

That is why a tiger doesnt end where an elephant begins. Or why the earth doesnt end where the sun begins. And so on.

Infinity is not about the physical dimensions of space, time, or the universe. We are not simply saying that time and space extend forever without end.

It's way bigger and more profound than that.

We are saying that consciousness itself is Infinite. We are saying that Mind is Infinite. Meaning that it can dream up an infinite number of things out of thin air.

Start to think of the universe not as a physical space, but one dream within an Infinite Mind.

Wow...this is a very complex topic. Difficult to understand.

 

Conventionally we believe that for a dream to occur there must be a dream-er.  

This is nonsense. While you are dreaming, there is only dream. The dream-er is further context that is added on by thoughts. The dream itself is the dream-er.

 

Also, a mind does not have to occur within anything. Software without hardware. When Leo says "Mind" he doesn't mean "brain." 

Mind is not occuring within another mind. It just is. It's occuring within Nothing I guess...but Mind and Nothing are just labels pointing towards the same incomprehensible Oneness.

 

It's really complex stuff...took me years to wrap my head around it. 

I'd reccomend watching and studying every video on this channel while meditating and doing psychedlics if you want to understand. If not, then there is no use wasting your time thinking about it.

That's one way of looking at it.

Another way of looking at it is that there is one Universal Mind which is simultaneously dreaming an infinite number of individual dreams, all of them interconnected with each other.

I have used the analogy before of an infinite sponge, where each bubble represents one dream.

I see it this way. There's no right way, this is just one of the ideas to wrap your mind around infinity.

 

Let's say God is infinite, or reality or the universe, etc.

If it is infinite, by definition he must include everything.

 

If there's a parallel world, it must be in him/her because otherwise it won't be infinity.

We would have two finite things, the parallel world and God. But both will be finite, both will have an end. Because to be two separate things one need to finish somewhere so the other begin in some point.

If there's something that is really infinite it should include this god and The parallel universe. So, now that thing that has everything in him is now infinite. And that is God.

The other god is now a god with lowercase because to be finite has to be inside the infite that is God with uppercase ... 

Infinite by definition must include everything, because it has no beginning and no end.
