Enlightenment or Self-Deception?

13 posts in this topic

Would I delude myself if i kept affirming ‘I don’t exist’ as an enlightenment practice. Would I just be deceiving myself, or would it actually work?

It's not the same when you lust for them and when you know they are you. Kinda sux to be ? like for real. Why would you suffer because of your own ignorance.

But one hot asian chick that would be ok I guess.

@Cody_Atzori If you want to take that approach, a better affirmation would: I am God.

It could be helpful, but probably not enough by itself. You can't really shortcut the inquiry if you want to truly awaken.

And telling yourself, "I am God" would only be effective if you had a few glimpses already of what God is. Otherwise you'll just be filling your mind with wrong ideas of God.

The point is that you have to SEE in your direct experience that you are God/nothing. Believing it is not good enough.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

@Cody_Atzori It has to click that you are a concept.  You have to become conscious of it.  Telling yourself it is just words..its like beating yourself over the head with the map over and over and over.  Its not the territory.

Telling people they do not exist is terrible advice. Better thing to say is that person who they beleive they are is illusory and false.

After enlightenment personality is still there. Formlesness and Manifested are same there is no separation btw those 2.

I was going to write something similiar but you beat me to it. ?

@Cody_Atzori If you want to do a practice like that it might be better to search for the I that you are referring to. Where is it?
