SD makes it impossible to get triggered?

12 posts in this topic

Hey Guys,

I more and more notice that it gets impossible for me to get triggered or angry at other people. Whenever I encounter or see someone doing sth. I immediately understand where they come from and why I could not be any other way.

Not even Sarah Palin really gets me anymore.

Of course the more someone would directly hurt me, the less this would apply. But I see the progress.

I think its really possible for someone to cut my hand off without me being authentically angry at this person. Of course this will probably take a while still.

Do you notice this as well, and would you also think that this is a stage yellow sign? Because I don't feel this overwhelming compassion but its more like my mind puts together all the dots and understand why everything happens and that it can't be another way.

@Ferdi Le  Do you want us to diagnose you with tier 2 thinking or what? :D Good work though.

@bejapuskas:)

I am trying to distinguish the "emotional compassion" and more the rational systems approach to why not to blame people.

Of course these go hand in hand but I sometimes sense a difference between them.

Nothing could be any other way then it is. All of us are intangled in webs of ideology and ego, most of us get lost in it, embodying this it becomes impossible to blame anyone for anything they do.

The how is what you build, the why is in your heart.

@Ferdi Le SD seems to offer a very loose framework for understanding the why and what of human thoughts, emotions and behaviour. In it one gets the impression that people are the way they are because that's how nature is. There is no moralistic reason for why people are the way they are, they are just the way they are.

If you want to stop getting triggered by people and having emotional clarity, meditation/yoga is always best.

Hark ye yet again — the little lower layer. All visible objects, man, are but as pasteboard masks. But in each event — in the living act, the undoubted deed — there, some unknown but still reasoning thing puts forth the mouldings of its features from behind the unreasoning mask. If man will strike, strike through the mask! How can the prisoner reach outside except by thrusting through the wall? To me, the white whale is that wall, shoved near to me. Sometimes I think there's naught beyond. But 'tis enough.

@Ferdi Le thats great. So you probably already have 10-20% Of yellow (?)

How can we know how much (approximately) we have from a color we have just did the first steps in it?

I feel very similar to what you said. Especially in veganism.

🌻 Thinking independently about the spiral stages themselves is important for going through them in an organic, efficient way. If you stick to an external idea about how a stage should be you lose touch with its real self customized process trying to happen inside you.

Do you really need that information? I mean, you cannot write it on your portfolio or anything, like I am 50 % green, 20 % yellow, 30 % orange... what's the use of this? Aren't you just trying to be superior to the other colours? I think it is much more useful to orient yourself towards joy, love and fearlessness.

@bejapuskas but if it wasn't useful then the model wasnt useful... but we know the model IS useful. Dont you want to know where are you in the map? And from this to know what your challenges are?

Oh yeh, I still sometimes use it, but there are so many areas of development, which are outside spiral dynamics and you cannot describe anyone properly just by using perentages of colours... even if you took the tones and shades into consideration, it would still be pretty imperfect.
