@Sahil Pandit I also dislike tracking miles. I started freeletics had a fairly regular running habit when I did an internship. I loved running in larger cities, you can elude basically everything and leap over obstacles, while no one cares and it is sort of a challenge. I want to try it in the woods sometime. I use the freeletics app for the gym and in general. They have some good exercises which are hardcore. But I don't f* with endurance. lol

I used the app headspace when I started meditating they gave the advice to count steps, and then to count breathing as running meditation. So, I tried to do that while observing my form. But I can't run further than 2-3km on a good day maybe 4. So, by no means, I would call myself a runner.

Tracking heart rate seems fun, I never did it while running I just go interested recently because of sleep and my professor. There are different levels of heart rate where your body stops using glucose as energy levels/energy provider and starts to use something else. Which will result in not burning calories or fat and using up your energy. So, tracking heart rate can be extremely helpful, to stay in the zone of burning fat/calories.
