Can you please let me know, is the time between posts restriction a necessary limitation here? My sense of time has changed.

Trust me on this one, stuff yourself with food, your sense of time will be reset, your whole system will calm down, and you will easily fall asleep.

The forums would get spammed by not only spam bots but very excited people, I've found it annoying at times as well but I think the time limit is for the best.  Tsuki would also probably have nightmares if we took it off
