What God is

@Joseph Maynornarcissism will lead to suffering and that may in turn lead to enlightenment as another form of superiority and self obsession. I think it really depends how honest one is willing to be with themselves as a false sense of being enlightened is also going to yield to more suffering.

I also see how it’s good to notice what the mind is focused on in others, what is being compared/judged and created to be its truth

what else can a narcissist do but love themselves to change the way they impact others and see themselves

When done in stillness, attentively, sincerely, you will see yourself how the self sense is an illusion. It's seems so solid and final for you because you're trying to work this out with the mind?

@Joseph Maynor

This is the third time you speak from your own beliefs about me and my intentions and my relationship with the mind.

I can't see how someone who is too much identified with his beliefs is going to help me stop identifying.

Please, I'm not here to argue or debate or to kill time.

I'm here to learn, if you have anything of value, show it with respect, and I'll be grateful for you.

If you don't, then excuse me, I don't like wasting my time.

@Truth Addict what is your way of producing the truth?

The truth is the present moment, from the present moment's perspective.

That's an act.

That's a belief.

What is the present moment? We know how it looks like. What is aware or conscious of the present moment?

Have you been conscious that the present moment is eternal?

Your intentions are disingenuous.

Let our egos decrease.

I am aware of it, to me "I" means the ego.

No I haven't, if I go under anaesthesia, I stop existing.

How do I know that? I don't, but I have no other option than to believe that (yet).

I knew it by simply Self-inqury, self-contemplation, self-observation. Did your present moment have any beginning? Or did you just suddenly exist? Was there a point in time where you didn't exist? Think through it and be genuine with yourself.

" I am aware of it, to me "I" means the ego. " God is still playing hide and seek with you.

I'm still practising, I haven't given up or come to conclusions.

I'm just being honest with what I believe in the present moment, I surely want to discover that I am eternal, why would I not want that?

Yes, I noticed that there was never a beginning, and that's why I say that truth is from truth's perspective.

I don't trust my memories either, so the answer would be a belief.

Good you have noticed that ?

" I don't trust my memories either, so the answer would be a belief."

There are simply no memories of you not existing in the" past". That would be pure imagination by the mind. Pure belief and delusion.

"Hopefully not forever."

Oh no, that game will stop one day one way or another ?

@David Hammond I have no clue what you're going through in your life right now. But I understand you, because I've been there.

I hope you find peace very soon.

@Highest Lovely post. How long did it take for the "I" to dissolve completly after the initial realization?

@Truth Addict

@WelcometoReality It took about 2 years, including all identification with the "I", body, mind and awareness.

@Highest question: do you see the world from a 3rd person perspective as if everything is happening and playing out as it should be.

My perspective is God consumed. But I experience from a 3rd reality like all human beings. There is just no identification with an "I". There is no identification with "I" in my experience, it isn't my experience anymore.

yeah thats what i mean, SO how do you view your thoughts, do you read them in sentences for example,

i am happy today, because the sun was out

and then repeat it to yourself, i just thought of the sentence:

i am happy today, because the sun was out

also does the world exist to you anymore , because it shouldn't. i realise it exist to myself, which is a delusion.

I rarely have thoughts actually, when I have I may read read them in sentences. The sun is out today too here in Norway, but I didn't think about it. I just felt it and it felt good.

The world doesn't exist for me. The world is a concept. But there are stuff in this world which appears to exist as form, like trees, dogs, rocks, humans etc. But I am conscious of what all those forms are aka the formless non-dual One aka God.
