I am 14 years old, while I can grasp things most people cant at my age. I dont want to buy an overly complicated self help book that I cant understand. So please post your recommendation down below.

If i were you i would focus on life purpose and mediation. And wait until I'm 18 or 17 to get into the rest of the stuff.

@Lorcan Well it all depends on what kind of Self-Help you are willing to get into. Is it meditation, something to overcome addictions, something for better habits, socializing or anything else?

Hi there, when I was your age I was reading Plato at that time, though I did not get the most of it.

My advice, read everything you can lay your hands on, what in any way catches your interest. As broad as possible.

This gives you a strong foundation and will make you broadminded for the rest of your life.

With 14 you are in the middle of your development (western style!) and you have all the freedom to learn as much as possible.

Self-actualization is not yet your concern, though I`m curious what @Leo Gura`s opinion is about your question.

* Pulls out a Green Horn, Lorcan blows into it , the loud sound is heard throughout exsistance/the universe *

In the Horizon Lorcan sees, A young Leo Gura , Dressed in Full Plate armour excluding the helmet is seen in the distance riding his valiant steed towards the source of the cry for help.

(que for Leo to post)

I've had an excellent introduction to meditation with "Meditation for Dummies" from Stephan Bodian.

I don't have the CD that comes with this edition.

But globally, I find those for Dummies books quiet well done for unexperienced people.

Who Am I to judge? When I think I know, I don't know that I don't know.

"Things don't change when they are understood. Understanding reinforces the intellect (the ego). The seeker has to make room to the meditative state."
