How to be wise

Is Leo’s claim too good to be true?

23 posts in this topic

@Michael569 Thank you for the comprehensive answer! I did not expect that. I will write the book on my list I ordered a couple and I am currently finishing the speed reading book from Leo's book list.

I read and just fact-checked again, about carrots, they are some assertions that when they are cooked with oil, that they supply more beta-carotin or provitamin a which is a precursor to vitamin a which is good for the eyes, eyesight .. and growth of skin etc.

Yet, this is only partially true, when cooked and chopped into small bites and when oil is added, the reabsorption rate is only increased from 4 to 5%. When purred and cooked first and oil is added afterward they gain a higher reabsorption rate from 27% to 45%.

Same for smoothies the reabsorption rate is significantly, to whatever degree higher. From 21 to 28-34%.

@Shiva Same for dogmatic stuff, yet even no dogma is dogma bla bla. I'll keep this in mind while shopping, especially with noodles. Thanks for the answer. Politeness is big dogma. Often.

They also increase testosterone apparently, and they have the highest rate of vitamin a in vegetables. Not sure if the last "fact" is correct. But should be.

One meal a day (OMAD) is the way to go if you're trying to lose weight. Just eat once a day and fast for the remaining 23 hours. The more healthy you eat the better you will feel, but you could eat all the junk food you want in that one meal and still lose weight. But you won't feel good.
