What is the BIGGEST obstacle for awakening?

Too many obstacles, and they are dependant on the individual.

Lack of earnestness.

Lack of purity of intent.

• Attachment to a religion/spiritual school/community
• Attachment to a practice
• Spiritual bypassing of any kind
• No practice
• Thinking the practice is only for a specific time of the day
• No metaphysical inquiry and self inquiry
• Not allowing yourself to be
• Resisting what is

@Monkey-man Having a closed heart will be a huge hindrance. A close heart will ground you in the body, which in contact with time causes suffering. Once the heart opens you'll realize your true nature as God or Spirit and it coincides with the death of the "I-thought". One could say that having an open heart is the key to the fifth dimension of consciousness.

Getting stuck in metaphysics.  Not fully transcending the Mind.  Of course you also need to transcend the Ego and locate being as well.  But that getting trapped in metaphysics thing is a huge trap that I see all the time.

How to open heart if heart is closed? Can I open heart before awakening?
