Meditation and self doubt

6 posts in this topic

Does meditation help with overcoming self doubt? I have read that self doubt is essentialy internal fears that have made its way into the subcouncious. Can meditation help me to easier overcome these fears?

Do you imply with "self-doubt" a sense of inferiority, or an actual uncertainty in which you doubt what you should be doing?

I am using a new account named "Nightwise". In in fact intend to stop using this account from now on and use that account instead. So I am not planning on using these two account interchangeably or intermittently. Only "Nightwise" from now on. I am doing so merely because I like the username much more. For some reason, that feels to be important to me.

I would say eventually yes.

Meditation will make you see into the heart of things. You dont see as much nonsense.

So if the self doubt is a bunch of beliefs or deception, with meditation over months, you may still have the self dount but be hyper aware *why* the self doubt is in your mind.

Do you actually experience self-doubt? Or did you just read about it?

Indeed, its one of the finer qualities to meditation. It dissolves doubt as you understand more and more of infinity.

It depends on what kind of meditation you do.

For example mindfulness meditation will not work, you'll just become more and more aware of your doubts and anxieties. You need abandonment meditation, something to drop yourself completely.

Here's sadhguru on mindfulness vs mindlessness
