Cross-legged like meditation, or is normal sitting on a chair fine?

Lots of times self inquiry comes when I least expect it so it can be anywhere doing anything.

@moon777light Any time all day. Remember, it’s not pointless thinking, it’s directed inward, to feeling, asking who I am, and letting every answer go. Breathing from your stomach all day, returning the focus to doing so when you notice the mind wandered into thinking - just do it. After just a few days of these two practice your entire perspective and life will change in the most wonderful ways.

what does this mean?@Nahm  like deep forceful breaths down to the belly - this way to take mind off thinking?

@SoonHei Simply attention on breathing from the relaxed stomach. Nice relaxed full breaths. No forcing anything, etc. Google ‘benefits of stomach breathing”.

@cetus56 how so? like you spontanously enter awareness/meditation zone?

thanks guys.

Another question, i always see self inquiry done in one of two ways, one is asking yourself "who am i" and contemplating on that question until awakening whereas the other method, the one taught on the video is more of a meditation, where you dont ask yourself but you just focus on awareness, or become aware of emptiness/awareness. Are these two methods fundamentally the same? i feel like the first one has much more intellectual components to it than the more meditative one.

@moon777lighti believe using the intellectual components are necessary until they are not...as anything the mind thinks is you can't be you (as you will be aware of it)

@moon777light Just for an example the other day I was pealing potatos (boring job) and the question just comes "who is pealing what potatos?" Then the inquiry starts working it's magic.:)

I rather focus on the feeling of the ' I ' trying to find it
