My first micro-retreat

16 posts in this topic

Inspired by our leader :D I am planning to have my first 2-days solo retreat next weekend.

Basically, do "do nothing" meditation, mindfulness through labeling, concentration, some kind of self-inquiry.
No internet, computer, phone, writing, reading − just be for 2 days.
I am planning to do intermittent fasting and cook for this period on Friday. Also, I am thinking about going to walk for an hour or so in a forest every day.

How does it sound? Does it make sense to do such a short retreat? Any advice?

PS: I am planning to go to Vipassana retreat in April. Maybe, it will help to prepare.

What a dream, what a joke, love it   :x

@ajasatya did it! B|
It's not that scary as I was thinking.

Friday (starting from 19.00):
• 1 hour − pen-hand actuality
• 30 mins − walking meditation in forest
• 30 mins − mindfulness noting
• 1 hour − do nothing

Saturday:
• 30 mins − hand actuality
• 90 mins − do nothing
• 45 mins − walking in forest
• 30 mins − do nothing under the tree
• 45 mins − walking in forest
• 30 mins − mindfulness noting
• 10 mins − concentration on object
• 2 hours − do nothing
• 30 mins − mindfulness noting
• 30 mins − self-inquiry
• 30 mins − pen-hand actuality
• 10 mins − concentration on object
• 1 hour − do nothing

Sunday (till 19.00):
• 1 hour − do nothing
• 30 mins − mindfulness noting
• 1 hour − do nothing
• 45 mins − walking in forest
• 1 hour − do nothing
• 1 hour − do nothing
• 1 hour − do nothing
• 30 mins − self-inquiry

I realised that 99,9% of the time I am in dreamland in the past or in the future, or just thinking about something.
It's so difficult to be in Now. I want to rise awareness, so I can put it on my dreamland to return back to Now.

@dimitri Good work brother from another mother.

Keep on chopping down the trees in the forest. Eventually we'll get there.

@moon777light not many.. apart from the realization of how hard to be in Now for me.. I also realized my deep sexual desires. :x

After micro-retreat I went to center and walked in a main street. It was so beautiful. I saw a lot of details, that was hidden for me before. It was easier to look into people eyes and smile.
