@ivankiss Did psychedelics play a role in your spiritual path? Curious what your main influences were, practices, etc.

@ivory One particular mystic/psychedelic experience was a huge game changer, yes. I wrote a trip report about it; you may have read it. Not that exact and well articulated; as I was still integrating certain things at the time I wrote that report. Now it is a lot clearer what went down actually on that night.

If nothing else; it came out as a cool story.

Other than that; no other mind-blowing psychedelic-induced experiences. I tripped maybe 10 times combined. Mostly on LSD and shrooms. It was beautiful. But not life-changing or shuttering. I also smoked tons of weed. Not as much recreationaly as for spiritual purposes. It was a great tool for me to shine light on aspects I was not aware of. Weed kinda makes things from your subconsciouss mind bubble up to the surface. It allows you to take two steps back. See wider. Also; great for creativity and opening up for majestic, universal ideas. I love it. I also feel pulled towards the DMT world. Ayahuasca. 5-Meo. All of those resonate. And more. 

But all at it's own pace. No rush of any kind.

The driving force behind my actions and overall progress is my passion towards music. My big dreams and my dedication to them. 

That is mainly what led me where I am right now. Passion, love, persistence, belief. Until belief was needed no more. The dream became real; experiental.

I did tons of shadow work, meditation, contemplation and all that stuff, as well. 

But I certainly would not feel a pull towards those if it wasn't for my passion and big dreams. Eagerness for growth and expansion.

One thing led to another; but all started in the heart. I must have been six or something. Been on my path ever since.

@ivankiss Thanks for sharing.

My story is a long one but I'll keep it brief. I developed an interest in non-duality some time back. I wanted to know what I was and what was really real. I also developed an interest an psychology, philosophy, authenticity and the like. I took therapy to help clear away some bigger emotional issues. Fast forward to today, I still maintain a strong meditation practice, but I'd like to experiment with psychedelics more. I've been experimenting with shrooms and LSD and have really been enjoying myself. I also experimented with weed a little bit, and I get what you mean about it illuminating blind spots. It's really good for that. But for me it really makes me dumb and unmotivated as a very unwanted side effect. Right now I'm also experimenting with loving-kindness meditation and have been loving it. Man, it is really great for opening the heart and reminding myself to take better care of myself.

> Computer game online ( creating a community ) really was more my path, I did art only since 4 years sadly, but all this is close to your story then, I just did it really "fast". "no life on a computer until my 21 > ( I m 25 ). Recently drawing, but with pure love, people around see how hard I m working toward this, just another game for me.

In fact I understand how music mix, harmonic content etc.. work. I just need to create something greater than "a music" I need " A music "

fascination for understanding in all aspect of the mirror for years with total grinding mindset ( I was a powerful grinding chinese machine in video games ) corean mmo forge your "orange" to the core hahaha, pure dedication & focus to the point of not relating to anything else.
 

psychedelic, 2 years ago, 2 days mushroom, integrating, then I did aswell last year in a pure dedication 2 weeks of psychedelics ( 3-4 little trip with mush/lsd and many microdose, but I was always "high" for 2 entire weeks ( yes I have OCD  in everything I do, until the point of insanity ), then 2 months of pure dark knight of the soul.
