Every transmission needs a good reciever for the signal to be complete. Without a good reciever no transmission will get through.

There seems to be possibility of deliberate or naturally occurring transmission of energy from some people. Whether that helps someone awaken really depends on the person's receptivity, which can't be predicted. One could say it's just some people's dharma to get "hooked up" by someone's or some place's energy.
