My worry is the possible necessity to "go there" to fix the trauma.

One school of thought is that unexpressed emotion just ‘sits’ in the body, so expressing yourself can = getting it out, and ‘it’ being gone. I know what you mean about some trepidation of ‘going there’, but man when you do, and you just let it all out once and for all, however it comes out ?????- then it does seem like ‘why the heck didn’t I do this expression thing years ago’? ?

@mandyjwYES. The runners high im sure yall are familiar with but more importantly, “flow state” to be related/ equated with the creative, no-self and intuition. I’ve also done this playing soccer and weigh lifting :)

It often takes many years to gain a wisdom to move without a psychological  purpose/motive

For sure, flow states can be enlightening. I guess it depends on who one talks to, yet my understanding of flow is that there needs to be a mind-body proficiency with the activity so the mind-body can just "let go" and do it's thing. For example, I would not be able to reach a flow state riding a skateboard or horse - I'd be stressed out worrying about falling off. In contrast, I can downhill ski without even thinking about it. I've gone into cool micro flow states skiing. I like how Steven Kotler describes flow - that there is proficiency of the activity and also an element of risk that synergize.

Yes, running puts you in a flow state, but long distances also quiet the mind and if you're in nature, nature is all that's left flooding your consciousness. It's just an amazing recipe.

I just split my wig about 2 hours ago skating the long board. I have many many scars that express how much fun I’ve had. :D

Flow state without a quiet mind? Is an artist painting a portrait continuously analyzing their work? I agree nature brings us closer to our connection with everything

With running you choose, flow state or quiet mind, or rather it chooses you.

I have read numerous passages on the Bible they say you're screwed if you do psychedelics(sorcery). The Qu'ran had a passage about your soul being stolen or something, in return for profane knowledge, although kind of breezes past it.

Not sure what other religions say, I kind of viewed it as a bodybuilding type of thing where people would be more apt to record experiences systematically and empirically. What do I tangibly gain? Like a Hollywood movie or something. Limitless or Lucy.
