How to learn?

4 posts in this topic

Hello guys.

I want to start this topic because I'm into reading books and I want to retain that information in my long-term memory.

I am a little bit envious of @Leo Gura but not in a bad way; rather in a motivational way.

He's really eloquent and I want to be able to speak like him.

I struggle with retaining information.

I need a few suggestions on how to retain the information I read; or how to learn; how to study.

Thanks.

https://www.retrievalpractice.org/

recall the information without looking and do so over days or weeks for long term memory

you can use flash cards or the question book method which is basically a notebook where you turn the ideas into questions and answers and use them to recall the ideas.

Do it with a lot of intensity to get it done in a short period of time

Let me know if there is anything else you want to know about learning how to learn.

I highly recommend reading the book 'Make It Stick'. They present very effective techniques for learning and remembering information. It also empowers and motivates you, give it a try ?
