Zen Buddhist Infuences

2 posts in this topic

Before I pretended to be a Contemplative Christian, I pretended to be a Zen Buddhist for 2-3 years and read most of Brad Warner's books. He approaches being a contemporary Zen Master in a Unique and ( I think) authentic way. Thought I would paste his site I just re found.

http://hardcorezen.info/

He's considered a heretic of sorts by some in the Buddhist Community. He's doing podcasts now. I've never saw one.

Any Zen Buddhists or Zen dabblers here?  Want to share influences?  I guess I was a dabbler for a while.

Learning and practicing Zazen laid a good foundation for my later Centering Prayer Meditation practice to rest in.

Through synchronicity, this book led me into Contemplative Christianity and learning Centering Prayer.
