My Awareness v/s God Head

9 posts in this topic

Hi all, good evening and excuse me for errors as I'm not a native speaker, I'll try my best though.

I am doing self inquiry pretty rigorously for few months now. Leo's self inquiry video helped me a lot. Through my practice I acknowledged quite a lot that I'm gonna describe here: my body-mind is not me rather that's something occurring in my direct experience. All of experiences that I ever experienced (including body and mind) is not me. What I am is the experiencer and not the experience itself and they all are occurring in me. Time is also not fundamental to reality, its something our mind conceptualized to made up the current reality. Past, present and future are already exists in reality but our moment to moment reality (reality = now or present moment) doesn't allow all at once.

But I am kind of stuck at a point. I am aware of all the things that I had ever experienced and will experience and that leads me to experience (or reflect?) on myself as pure empty awareness that allows all experiences (of life) within it. However, it still feels like what I am aware of, is very limited and no matter how much I would try to add to it, it will remain minuscule (in context of reality). It seems that awareness created an illusory boundaries between what I could experience and what other living beings are experiencing, causing duality. This awareness (my awareness, though its not actually mine, it's the awareness itself) has only access to this life events, people and sensations. This (seemingly mine) little awareness has not access to infinite possibilities that is inherent to it. Why it appears this way?

All answers or suggestions are very welcome. Thank you all :)

The short answer is to be infinity.

You as an ego are a finite part of the infinite and what it means to be you is what you are currently experiencing. Its like a house broken up into rooms with no doors or windows. Might be possible for you to break the walls down to some degree (samadhi)

Awareness created the illusory boundaries, indeed.

That which can see through those is awareness, as well.

Your "little awareness" has access to "bigger awareness". And that has access to infinite awareness; which transcendes all limits.

See the hint?

Raise more awareness. It's all one infinite thing. Does not matter how much or how little there seems to be of it. You have access.

@Shadowraix Thank you my friend. I developed the conceptual understanding for now. I will work for the direct experience of it. Thanks

@ivankiss Thanks buddy, I am trying raising my awareness through meditation and practices. I want to have direct experience of it, even if for once.

@Sunil Kumar you’re assuming there are other aware beings out there, but you don’t know that.

in the context of practice you should be as ruthlessly skeptical as possible. zero in on what’s actual, and ignore everything else

Do you remember how Leo said your mind will get distracted while doing self enquiry? Well, any sort of philosophical speculation is actually a distraction. Off the cushion it is important to have intellectual understanding of these things, but when doing practice you really need to work looking at only what’s right in front of you
