Anything else I need to know about DMT before I take some?

I know there are differences between what form of 5-MeO-DMT you can smoke or snort. The HCl form being the one you snort. I'm wondering are there any pieces of information I should know before I snort regular NN DMT? Can you snort DMT freebase ok?
