How to realistically 'live each day as if it were your last' per Seneca?

I mean, it's not literally your last day, so you need to have a balance between present and future pleasure and benefit. What he meant was to live it to the fullest but you do need a balance nevertheless? How do you do it? I mean you surely would get some stims so you don't need to sleep if you only got a couple of days to live but that's not sustainable.
For example I went to a party last night but now I feel like shit so I can't live today as if it were my last one while robbing the next day...

@Manjushri it's not the THINGS you'd do. If today was literally your last, you'd probably seek immediate pleasure in things that are unsustainable.

What is pointed to is the MIND STATE. Would you complain about petty shit? Would you fear death, or celebrate life? Would you be present? Would you see the beauty in everything? Really think through how your perspective would shift if presented with a literal last day, embrace it, then carry it with you every day. It's a lot easier said than done, and this isn't something you can do tomorrow. You'll have to work for it. That mind state isn't sustainable for you now, but it could be. Life becomes so much sweeter when you do
