stop looking for short cuts or magic solutions

I think sometimes people are looking for a shortcut or a magic solution as some excuses for not actually doing the real work required to fix the real problem.  

Usually, the real solution lies in the hard path rather than the easier one. 

This doesn't mean you should stop reading on theory, theory is still useful when you balance it with practice.
