Practice girls?

I've been single for most of my life. I understand I need to solve the big conflicts within myself before I'm fully ready for a beautiful breath-taking long term relationship. In the meanwhile, I find myself overthinking about women. Every relationship I had it was for me just to "practice", since I never wanted anything serious. 

On the one hand, if I'm truly honest to myself, I wouldn't date anyone until I feel I'm ready. Furthermore, some girls I have been with have been tremendously hurt, and I don't want to hurt anyone.

On the other hand, I do have some needs... I have been long periods without sex, but then I'm afraid I will lack skills when it comes to sex..

Is it wise to have "practice girls" until I have enough social and sex skills to date who I really like?

@Gladius I’d say it’s fine as long as one is honest and clearly communicates with the woman that she is a “practice girl”. Some women are cool with “practice fun”.

Yet, I’d say not clearly communicating this early on is misleading and could hurt the woman.

I agree with @Serotoninluv. It's very important to make it clear that she'll be your fuckbuddy.

I'm on the same thing, I want to have a girlfriend, but I don't feel myself ready. Falling in the passion trap is the worst thing ever, but now I'm more aware of which type of girl I like, and to have a relationship with her, I need to handle my shit at first.

That's the point, I haven't met any girl who is comfortable playing "fuckbuddy". Most of them only offer sex in exchange of a relationship...

@Gladius Seems your issue is fear of commitment and relationship. Why not just start the relationship and see how it goes? It's not marriage. It's just a relationship. It might work, it might not.

The whole point of women is to get into relationships with them! The sex gets 100x better. The relationship is fun and rewarding.

You were born ready. Just do it. It will be a growing experience. Do not wait for "the perfect one". Ain't no such thing. Learn to love who she is, as she is -- not as some fantasy you imagined.

Fuck, needed to hear this. You nailed it Leo. I can relate a lot to what Gladius is saying, and Im gonna start to take serious deliberate action tomorrow.
