@Leo Gura so if one genuinely understands and get's interest in spiral is stage yellow? why is it important to get into detail if one is being mindful, practice meditation, yoga, sometimes do psychedelics? what i mean is does one has to have intellectual understanding of the spiral in order to be yellow or higher? what about enlightened?

You can be enlightened and still a racist. Because your level of Spiral development might be ethnocentric Blue.

Awakening is not development. And development is not awakening.

There still seems to be a correlation between level of awakening and Spiral Dynamics.

The most famous current enlightened people are all stage turquoise. They are even listed as examples in the according thread for this stage on this forum.

That enlightened people - or at least the ones in the spotlight - are all to be found at the same stage seems peculiar and raises some questions:

What influence did their awakening have on their movement on the spiral? (Since I strongly assume that almost all of them weren't on tier 2 before their awakening)

Did they sort of skip yellow/(green)/(orange)?

Why exactly turquoise and not coral or higher? Does their awakening maybe hinder them on moving up even higher?

That's because the higher your development the easier it is to awaken because the higher your perspective-taking ability is and the more openminded you are.

But be careful with your generalizations. All of these people are different and they lived long lives which involved lots of unseen development work. You probably cannot imagine how much work such people did on themselves. We're talking 10s of thousands of hours of work and study.

Don't confuse humility and simplicity of teaching with lack of work. Just the opposite.

Most of the people on the Turquoise list are world-class masters.
