[book] Lazy Man's Way To Riches (original 70s Edition) (8/10)

Hello there. This is my first post. There was no "welcome section" so I decided to just start some topic.

I would like to tell you about an amazing book I once bought. It was in about 2011, when library at my school was selling unnecessary titles for as little as 1 PLN (about ¢25). It was one of the best investments in my life. It is titled "Lazy Man's Way to Riches" and was written in 1973 by Joe Karbo. Before you say in your mind "another advertisement on how to get rich fast", read aloud the following old saying: "don't judge the book by it's cover".

So what is that book if not about making money? Well, I was quite surprised. It's not about financial pyramids, doing scams or how to find a killer business idea. It's basically about changing the way you think. The book is divided into two parts, where the first one is (in my opinion) more important. Joe writes there about something he calls DynaPsyc (we might use to call it Law of Attraction), yet he explains rationally how it works. Most of the stuff is about programming subconsciousness mind and how to do it. There are three tools described, which create DynaPsyc: Daily Declarations (for achieving material goals), Super Suggestion (for changing habits and behaviour) and Subconscious Computer (to solve problems) [loose translation from polish]. The book also features some tests on, for example, self-esteem. The second part features some business and entrepreneurship stuff.

I wouldn't write about everything what is covered there. Yet, I will post on this forum sometimes some knowledge from it. It's quite short, you can finish it with all the activities in less than 4 days. I re-read it from time to time and check for the changes in the tests.

I would give this book 8/10. If you are curious, you can still get it on a website where the new version is also sold (or try your luck finding used one).

Cool :) just yesterday i bought "you can" george adams and "rich habits" thomas corley instead of "lazy mans..." because the title repelled me a bit ...sounded like a book that attracts lazy people who give in into the illusion of becoming rich in only 6 weeks or smth xD i might check it out now thou... thx
