I have an idea, what if we made a license for parenthood?

What if we had a mandatory test to get a liscense for raising kids? There is way to many poor kids that gets obesity and neglected these days. It would solve a lot of mental health problems too that todays millennials face. We could perhaps stop most child abuse too. Im not talking about banning people from getting kids, but keeping them and raising them. It’s like being allowed to own a car, but not use it because it can be dangerous to others.

What do you guys think?

That's not a good idea, brother.

It is much more valuable to make efforts to raise people's consciousness through education instead of making rules that go against our main biological drives. A mother won't let the government or whoever just take her babies. That is the recipe for a disaster and huge revolt from the masses. People that went that way ended up with a huge mess, like the nazis, or Maoist China. It's just cruel and uneffective.

That would be very oppressive. If my seed & a girls egg come together and grow into a baby we should own it. Not the government. I own at least 50% of my kid.

I think the problem is what to you do when someone has a baby hasn't taken the course, I mean you can't just go around aborting babies, taking it away from a mother who refuses to take the license also seems unreasonable (if you don't abort it).  Maybe parenting belongs in public schools for a day, not sure

Yeah i agree. Along with psychology, philosophy and life purpose/mastery.

There should be a license to be a boss or a manager too.  There should be a license to be a landlord.

And it's not like they would take a lot of kids away. Maybe 5% or so with AI making the decision. Only 1/3 kids that get's sexually abused gets help, that's unacceptable.

who makes the AI who takes the decision, based upon what ?

don't create something if you're not willing to take criticism, it's a polarity to accept

I think it could be as basic as making parenting classes and psychology classes as part of normal schooling eg life class. If it is talked about during youth about the financial, emotional, physical responsibilities and investment that parenting comes; not only are we going to respect our parents more, but think twice about having children.

Schooling (for most part of the world) is about making robotic children atm. I really hope with the development of AI; it could change this.
