Conditioned Brahman v/s Unconditioned Brahman

7 posts in this topic

What is the conditioned Brahman? Is it related to not merging with God but by doing devotional service to God?

Please comment.Thank you!!

Unconditioned brahman is beyond form, beyond creation and destruction and all dualities.. Conditioned brahman is more like the normal conception of God: the creator/destroyer/entire universe.

Yes, if you are devoted to God, you are devoted to conditioned Brahman. But ultimately that devotion will take you to the unconditioned: the ultimate devotion is the recognition that you are that (unconditioned) brahman.

No, neither has anything to do with how active you can be in the world. They are both just concepts, and both are true from different perspectives.

@winterknightWont the path I take to reach enlightenment help my soul in different ways like liberation?

Liberation is enlightenment. It might help you to read some introductory texts on Vedanta to help you see the big picture. Try the Bhagavad Gita or Tattva Bodha.
