No.1 Rule for Acing Life

7 posts in this topic

Acording to @Leo Gura, it's to DO THE EMOTIONALLY DIFFICULT thing in every situation.

Fairly simple but difficult to do. How do you fully emody this principle into your life so you can self actualize?

I have noticed that some people like David Goggins is one such example.

I didn't really understand this rule. Is it the most difficult decision out of two logical and good choices? Because if you would take this rule litterally you would commit suicide or burn your house down? Can someone explain please?

@SaltyMeatballs Questions to consider:

1.) What are you resistant to doing?

2.) What could you do to dramatically change your circumstances?

3.) Who could you have an important conversation with?

These are emotionally difficult and challenge you to step out of your comfort zone.

Basically, choosing growth instead of staying where you're at.

I’d add a 4th: Who could you have an important impact on?

I wouldn't take it literally.

I think it is just alluding to the fact that most good stuff that will make you grow will come with resistance and suffering from your current state. If you want to become better, it is never something that you just do and become better. You have an intermediate moment of tension, learning, sucking at it, getting out of your comfort zone, not fully knowing what you're doing, to then integrate it it and reach a better place.

Becoming better and self actualizing = changing yourself. However, ego does not want change. Then the emotional challenge appears

Therefore, resistance, emotional challenge, etc. might all be pointers that you're looking at something valuable (don't punch your mom in the face because it is emotionally challenging)
