Do nothing vs do nothing mediation

11 posts in this topic

In leo's most resent video he talks about doing nothing for 10 days but what is that? Is it doing the meditation technique of do nothing for like 90% of the time (found in "Meditation Techniques: Do Nothing - The Simplest Meditation Possible") I highly doubt doing that but i don't think its just sitting on a chair or bed and not mediating. Any one know what i can and or can't do for a do nothing retreat?

Doing nothing is the the most difficult and the most simple nothing to do. Im not sure about this video you mentioned, but doing nothing has nothing to do with rules/requirements, techniques/effort.

What is it that qualifies as a doing?

Might want to understand what this doing is first dude. What is it that your being told not to do?

Can we understand that “doing”/what ever that is. Understand the whole of that doing. Then in that holistic seeing/understanding is action of NONDOING/holistic action.

No hard set rules but completely limit stimulation. No tv, music, reading, stimulants, socializing, phone etc etc.

Don't have to do just do nothing meditation, any and all techniques and spiritual practices could be beneficial.

This has been a dream of mine for a long time. 10 days is a bit impractical for me at the moment but no reason I couldn’t take a few days off around a weekend some time

@ChrisZoZo Whether you meditate or not, 10 days is a longer time than one would think. I think it comes down to setting proper expectations. You're going to want to do "something" or else you'll feel like you're going crazy. The key point i want to make is make that "something" worth while, such as cycling your meditation practices or going for a mindful walk.

Check out Leo's Solo Retreats in the blog, that'll go into more detail!
