Are all perspectives illusions?

13 posts in this topic

I came across an interesting train of thought over the course of the day. Just yesterday I was reading you-tube comments since I was bored and I saw a comment of a person who claims to be Muslim. The Muslim person said that they believe that life is a test for what happens to you after you die. I personally thought that was flat out wrong and I was baffled how someone could believe that but then I started to wonder about myself. All of the false beliefs I hold. So today I went to school and I usually feel negative while I'm there. I thought to myself "should I objectively feel negative or am I deluded for feeling negative while I'm at school?" To my surprise, I actually had a great time at school today. I am usually pessimistic but I genuinely felt great.

It makes me wonder. If I can feel good about school one day but negatively about it another then doesn't that mean that any belief I have about school is a delusion? And that I would have to know EVERYTHING for my beliefs to actually be true?

Are all perspectives illusions

if they are taken to be truths then yes. :)

Please do not pay attention to my empty words if you are following Leo's teaching !!
Sometimes my empty words may appear too negative, too rational, too irrational, egoistical or even like trolling because my path is a non-path and is nothing but deviation and incompatible with all teachings known.

Awesome! Great realization. Thought is illusionary, belief is identification with thought. So identity is illusionary. What is illusory could not live & die, so no ‘thing’ is a “life”, so life can’t be a test. I hope your days continue getting more and more belief, and care - free! Keep in mind, love, does not require a thought! Neither does awareness!

Also, if you knew everything, there’d be no opportunity for belief. I’d look into that. Sounds suspicious.

That's a great point that something illusory could not live and die. I didn't think of that.

Also, only something illusory could live & die.

@Roman Edouard

Don't laugh at me. I used to believe in that same stuff that you read on YouTube for almost my whole life until only 3 months ago.

I think perspectives are illusive often because they do not take into account the many angles one can take on life.

Thoughts/beliefs/paradigms pretty much lock you in a defined box and make every other perspective appear wrong because it does not fit in the thought box.

which is why is so important to learn about as many perspective as possible, so that you are closer to the infinite.

@Roman Edouard What you're discovering is that your mind plays in active role in constructing reality.

Reality is not like how materialists think it is: an external static object. Rather it is a dynamic mindscape. How you use your mind makes an enormous difference in how you experience reality.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

And beliefs are more thoughts right? So boom! Strange loop >:o

Paradoxically, there is a sense in which all perspectives are illusory other than one perspective: but on the other hand, the illusion of many perspectives is part of Experience.
