Why is Mediocracy so bad?

Leo, I notice their is a lot of resistance for people generally when you talk about having higher goals, and not being like the norm. I think for a lot of people, they really do not understand not even logically why meritocracy is bad and of course I mean bad as Leo would use the word bad not in some absolute sense.

it’s kind of interesting, first time i hear about meritocracy - nice you bring it in connection with mediocracy. there is a bunch of cracies, we could discuss in that context. i would want to throw in idiocracy and bureaucracy if you don’t mind.
