HSPs and Psychedelics. Dis/advantage?

3 posts in this topic

Being HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) comes with its blessings and curses. What would be the case in relation to psychedelics? Could it be that they get way more out of their trips,   or tripping itself is a huge challenge, given how deeply they process information and how sensitive they are to any types of stimuli? After all, their brains are wired in a different way and it's logical to think they react on psychedelic substances different than other 80% of the population would. I can imagine how deep and blissful their trips could be, but at the same time how much panic and terror they'd have to initially go through before they reach this blissful state.

So the question is, is it more of an advantage or disadvantage to be HSP when it comes to the psychedelic world?

@Kaity Psychedelic expands one’s mind. In terms of mind expansion, I don’t think  HSP is an advantage or disadvantage. They might need a lower dose or a trip sitter for support.

I imagine that more significant factors would likely be sincerity, humility and open-mindedness.

I think being HSP is almost irrelevant when it comes to psychedelics.

The most important factor is: how much identified are you with yourself. Psychedelics show you who you are, but there's gonna be a lot of resistance in you if you already think you know who you are.

There are lots of types of people. It's okay to be anybody before the trip, if you can be nobody on the trip.
