Question about guided meditation

4 posts in this topic

Hello everyone. I am Ampresus and am currently a newbie on this forum and everything related to Actualized.org. I just discovered a great playlist on Spotify with all sorts of guided meditation. Here is my issue however:

Leo said that if you want to start meditating, you gotta build the duration of the session up in a period of 1 year. From 20 min to 1 hour. Right now I do 30 min sessions, but not all guided meditations are 30 min. Some are 10, 20, 15, 40. There was one with love, something I think I need to develop early in my life, that was 12 min. Can anyone offer some advice?

I meditate for 30 min a day, I do shamanic breathing sessions every Friday and read my books everyday. I am 14 years old.

Any  advice will be highly wanted. Take care.

@Ampresus I've been meditating for 5 years, here's my advice:

Experiment as much as possible. No matter how many books/videos I read/watched on meditation, I settled down on "hybrid" techniques of my own.

Go against the rules, be creative and so on. The only key is to train your will power/concentration/awareness.

19, and I can't express HOW MUCH I regret not focusing on my financial situation. Sure, the wisdom and spiritual insights I gained over these years are incredible, but what's the point of being so mentally advanced when I'm still stuck in a post-soviet shit-hole country??? People from 1st world countries have no idea what it's like to live in a country with an average salary under 300$/month.

Go thru the spiral Stages gradually, don't skip your way. Focus on the basics first.

@111111 Yes people already told me about this. I am planning to read books about how one should sustain all these different situations (such as financial situation) and want to combo it with minimalism as soon as I leave my house. Oh I am gonna post about this right now.

Follow the Exhale in your focused attention is called "Nirvana", and let the body do the Inhale. To cling to breath, start by letting go into exhalation.
