@SoonHei that's exactly the question I had in mind, the answer is great too,  so we have the illusion of control and everything is basically all destined? Does that mean some people are lucky and destined to be more disciplined to achieve enlightenment than others?

@GabeN in my current understanding from the point of view of the ego, yes. it can be said some people are lucky and some aren't.

notice that is relative luck/destiny.

from the point of view of the self, there is no luck/destiny

it's all ONE MOVIE/PLAY/DREAM
