Is it good to embrace MI personally

2 posts in this topic

So I come from a large family with extensive and mental illness. I, myself, have been spared. I have seen a trend in current social lingo. Many say “My depression “ “My bipolar” “My mania” this seems new-ish to me. I wonder if the severity of the disease is made worse by this attachment and personalization of the disease? Or is there no affect? Any thoughts?

It's the word "my" that would have an effect. So, no.

Also, that's why I don't do self-inquiry. I just observe all around myself; everyone who is conscious knows who their self is to some extent (I assume). Then, being conscious and in a peaceful location, simply observe everything else that doesn't seem to have location at "you" including the thoughts.
