You'll know it when you find it.

@Rilles This is the one thing getting me to a total shift of perspective. Exactly what you are referring to I read in one of Almaas' books recently. It completely changed my approach to all this work. Yes it is very difficult. But once there is even a tiny bit of understanding of this, it starts to become very releasing. Even if the suffering increases as I never experienced before.

Wow! Yes exactly! Ive noticed that I dont even dare to feel completely into my sensations when im suffering, its like the ego is scared to own it, half measure suffering.

when i started my studies this year i suffered a lot and i used something similar-"cant do anything about that suffering, better just experience it" the suffering just usually went away for some reason.

Exactly, yes.  But then you need to see how you’re causing and contributing to your own suffering by current ignorance and by not bothering to learn from prior ignorance (i.e., making the same mistakes more than once).  All suffering is caused by ignorance.
