What is karma?

11 posts in this topic

What is karma?  And how does it function exactly? Many people say when they get hurt by people that those people will not go alone fine without facing their karma later in their life. I mean the suffering they created for others will eventually hit them back at some point of their life. Does karma works like this or it is something else?

To answer your question would take a 10episode Leo video long series :D That's how complicated it is :D

Karma is a belief system in society.

Karma, in reality, is your own doing, you do something, anything, that is your karma. Don't bother with next lives or if you do good to someone to receive good, this works for the dormant people usually.

You can start by understanding this for now :D

But it goes way way deeper

I've read a book called "Mystic's Musings". Truly Mind blowing material about karma. And still I know it goes even deeper then that :D

A little taste as to how far karma topic can go

And all those things about doing good deads then good things will happen to me. Is actually true not just a belief system. I discovered this by reading his book. He talks about it very interestingly there

@Serotoninluv i didn't get it. Can you please explain a bit?

Consider all the input that has gone into making you you. The trillions upon trillions of stimuli every second of your life. Each little bit shaping you. Consider all the input before you were born. The DNA you inherited from your parents. Millions of years of evolutionary input that went into shaping you. It is so vast that a finite mind can't comprehend it all. Yet, the mind and body remembers bits and pieces. These memories are the basis for "The Story" about who I am. A few fragments that seem to create a character we call "me". From this, lots of impulses arise - thoughts, feelings etc. "I am kind", "I'm not attractive enough", "I shouldn't have lied", "She shouldn't have lied to me", "I regret yelling at my dog", "I need to earn more money". . .  and on and on and on. . .

The reality we perceive mentally and emotionally is shaped by these lenses we wear.  What is reality without these lenses? What if you stepped outside The Story and examined it? What if you deconstructed the Story bit by bit and then let go of it all? What would remain?

Karma is non-attachment to Ego, which is true morality because it is an ought that is reasonable to accept.  It’s the only true moral ought because it’s a refusal to get tricked by illusion.  One ought not attach to Ego.  And I’m not talking about the Egoic self not attaching to Ego, I’m talking about the true Self not attaching to Ego.  That’s what Karma is, it’s true morality.
