Voting in Upcoming US Elections

14 posts in this topic

You operate in this illusion. Take ownership. Participate. This selfish oriented “my vote doesn’t matter” or “it’s all fixed” mentality shows an utter LACK of consciousness. Christ didn’t sit passively on the sideline. Gandhi didn’t say “ah what’s the point.” No there is no moral obligation. However, it does show show self absorbtion and ego if you don’t. You’re in no position to complain about and judge those on the Spiral Dynamics model and all the shenanigans that are going on if you just sit on your ass. Get out and vote.

Im not understanding. If i live in a blue state and its guaranteed blue, i feel like whats the point?

If blue wasnt guaranteed then id be cool with voting. But my state is blue and always has been

(Blue as in democrat. Not stage blue)

Nevermind my state has only been blue for 26 years

Imagine if Christ or Buddha said ‘there’s no point. Suffering is going to happen no matter what.’

I would say voting in a political election, is the initiation of force. I don't however subscribe to the NAP (Non Aggression Principle), some times comes up on libertarian forums.

@RichardY I don’t know what you mean by that. Any action you take towards any kind of change, personal or collective, requires force. In the beginning when you meditate you have to force it. Change requires force of some kind or another. That’s the way it goes.

First off the personal is the collective. Second this required force or control is an expression of the “personal” and that is expressed in “society”. This control prevents change itself. All this force/control you speak of is born out of fragmentation. It’s pretty gnarly if this insight acts my man. The individual is the collective. When you focus on the collective and think of “it” as distinct from yourself you have already brought about disorder in society. Politics will never bring that order brah. The change happens with you. The less you live a fragmented life the more wholeness globally.

The only action that is whole is that of starting with you. As in yourself living an Unfragmented life. This is the ultimate action towards a healthy society. Consciousness with an attitude towards wholeness.

Just when you mentioned Ghandi. He went from passive resistance, to an active participation in politics, which lead to his assassination. I mean force as violence, and not as effort.

Besides Christ said render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's.

Curious about how someone can exercise authority, and whether ultimate authority, has to be violence.

More selfish egos who don’t give a fuck who think spirituality is the cure, use metaphysical concepts just to dismiss the things you can do. Don’t cricitize others on the Spiral when you do nothing about it. Leo votes in yet calls out because guess what, you sitting passively on the sidelines like the spiritual snob you are doesn’t help anyone. You are making so many assumptions and projections with this post

Spirituality?? xD

This is more of a common sense. There were no assumptions made on my part brah. Although when I read over your post to me there were multiple.

There were not any sides taken on my part either.. No opinions were made. No criticism either. What I shared is simply what is. This will be observed when you/me “we” are no longer influenced by fear/division.
