What life are we left with?

One day when one realises that all the hard work and energy they put in to getting what they want doesn't make them happy, what do they do? What are people left with?

An existential crisis or "mid life crisis" which is a beautiful thing because it means that the individual is not congruent and the Universe is trying to auto correct him or her.

Well, typically 2 choices continue hitting their heads on the wall, or make changes, or some combination of the two.

Often this is when people go within and start doing inner work. You start to realize the true value of service to others, contribution and fulfilling your potential rather than just winning. Although winning still matters.
